Workout Tips
Now, we all know the importance of a good isolation exercise. One of the many Workout Tricks you hear is to superset isolation exercises with complex exercises to fatigue the main muscle before any smaller muscles giveout resulting in an inferior set. Well here is an isolation exercise AND a complex exercise you can do that will really get your back muscles screaming for relief!
Back Workouts - Workout Tricks #1
First you will need a fairly large BEACH TOWEL. Unfortunatelly, mine happens to have a picture of Disney's Handy Manny and his tools. The length of the towel is important (although the picture is not) to really help you "focus" in on the target muscles you will be using. The Isolation exercise you will be doing is called the Straight-Arm Row. The picture on the right will give an example of how it is to be performed. The reason I use the beach towel is because most of the gyms do not have a rope attachment long enough to really get a good "Squeeze" at the height of the movement. When performing the exercise, Thread your towel through a "D" handle and Keep your arms straight. Grab the ends of the towel while at the same time, wrapping the towel around your wrists to help with your grip. Pull your hands behind you as far as possible while still maintaining erect form. Try to imagine squeezing your shoulder blades together to make sure you are using your back muscles correctly.

Back Workouts - Workout Tricks #2
Use the same beach towel and "D" handle attachment with your seated cable rows. Keep hold of the ends of your towel while you wrap them around your wrist to help with your grip (the same as before) and perform the movement as you normaly would. Remember to get a good squeeze in your shoulder blades to really kick your back into gear.
